This way you don't have to get another entire Nyko charger set. I'm not sure how long the rechargeable batteries last but i'm sure they eventually run out of juice. At $6.99 each you can't go wrong. I may even get some extras. Only bad thing is you cannot choose the color on the backing! I purchased one on 9/12/07 and rec'd a turquoise one.
