FUN!

Post Via amazon in Wii Games Review

High School Musical: Sing It Bundle with Microphone
This game is so much fun! you dont automatically get all 30 songs, you win them if you score over a certain limit on the different songs.

You also win the different enviornments, and characters the characters can sing in.

You also get graded like in high school :p throughout the song you get grades, and when you're done you get a final grade.

And i got a pleasent surprise when i went to something called extras and it had videos, interviews with the cast, dance along, and behind the scenes!

All in all a great game if you love HSM as much as i do.
Well worth the money!

Great party fun for all ages!

Smarty Pants: Trivia for Everyone
Terribly fun trivia game for all ages - literally. Up to four people can play&the questions are actually adjusted to meet the participant's age levels! Sweet. The topics are well chosen, the questions are varied, the Wii pointer works dead on the money. You buzz in by snapping the wiimote backward, feels rewarding.
This is a great trivia game for friends or for family gatherings around the holidays... not too hard to include the kids and not easy for adults. It's bright and friendly and very inviting to both gamers and non-gamers. Feels like everyone playing a really fun board game, except it's much more fun.

Kororinpa on the cheap

Post Via amazon in Wii Games Review

Mercury Meltdown: Revolution
I thoroughly enjoyed the game Kororinpa: Marble Mania which came out some months before this one, and the action in this game is pretty similar. However, it feels different enough that it's definitely not just a level pack for that game. The blob physics add a new dimension, as does the focus on solving puzzles by changing your blob different colors, mixing different color blobs to make secondary colors, etc. It's neat stuff. For 20 bucks this game is an absolute steal, and it's got a lot of levels and stuff to unlock. Each level has various ways to excel and try to get a top score -- beating par time, collecting all bonuses, and losing as little mercury as possible.

On the downside, so far the party games don't seem to me to be truly multiplayer. But I've only unlocked one; I don't know if later ones involve multiple players. Also, the tilting motions used to steer your blob around are much more constrained than in Kororinpa -- no flipping the world upside down! Oh, well. Still a great game and an absolute bargain.

Essential for wiimoting

Wii Battery Kit - Colors May Vary
The rechargable battery is great because you needent keep dumping money on aa's but the real star of the show is the rubberised back which gives you a far greater grip on the slippery when sweaty wiimote.

PROBLEM SOLVED-you needent even use the strap with a rubberised battery cover.

Family Fun

Post Via amazon in Wii Games Review

Cooking Mama: Cook Off
This game is fun and easy enough for anyone to use. I've had family members from 50 to 4 play this game and they all laugh and tell me how much they love it. Of course this isn't your average video game - it doesn't have any blood and gore, no RPG aspects, but it's still so much fun! It sounds like a silly concept because you could always go to the kitchen and cook a meal, but for parents who don't want their kids around heat or families that just want to have a good time and not worry about points and HP, then this is the game for you!

Great for younger kids

Post Via amazon in Wii Games Review

MLB Power Pros
Bought it for my 6 year old daughter. She was getting bored with the Wii Sports baseball. I was reluctant at first but it's a great game. Easy enough for a younger kid (there's a Rookie Mode where all they control is the pitcher or batter)and other Modes where you have to control each player. And, each player can choose their own Mode so I can play her as a Pro but she can play as a rookie. Also, she's learning a lot of the player's names and position from different teams.

Kudos to Capcom!

Resident Evil 4
I am gamer from the old days when games were simple, original, and fun. I have all but given up on gaming as every game seems to me a rip off of something before it with better graphics (hopefull). That being said, Resident Evil 4 on the Wii is perhaps the best game I've played in ages. The visual style is so rich and the sounds are so authentic that it just sucks you right into it.

The first time I played I was turned off by the controls. But the game somehow compelled me to learn them and once I did, my nightlife was changed dramatically. I must warn you, I will find youself losing sleep because you just can't turn it off. You really become the character in the game. Kudos to Capcom. More captivating than DOOM3 on a high-end PC. The best game since Mega-Man on the original NES. Gamers - enjoy!

This ain't no Donkey Kong hacked up piece of evil thumb twisting!

Post Via amazon in Wii Games Review

Resident Evil 4
I was a huge fan of Frogger (I know...) and then Donkey Kong and Mario were my downfall. No matter what I tried I could not keep from dying, and all because of my poor thumb/eye coordination, or so I told myself. I longed for the day when someone would create a controller that was like my hand... THEN I would rule the universe. It wasn't me - it was the stupid controller! I just knew it. And then I heard about the Wii... Maybe, just maybe I could actually enjoy a game again instead of constantly trying to get past level 2 of something (and that was on a really good day!)

Well, we got one and I thought, What the heck, I love horror movies so let's see how long it takes me to die if I buy this game about zombies! So I trundled out of the store with my brand spankin' new Wii system and a shiny new copy of Resident Evil 4. When I got home I hooked up the system (surprisingly easy) and popped in my new game. As soon as the first animation started I knew this was not your mama's old Donkey Kong! Heck, this was even better looking than Myst and Riven, and that's saying something... So I prepared myself to go forth and die quickly, but wait a minute... I could actually use this thing and before I knew it I was wasting zombies along with the best of them. Sure I got killed a few times along the way, but what is a little death among pixel-based adversaries? You just learn from what you did wrong and keep at it until you're mowin' 'em down left and right. In one night I got through half the game! And I suck at these games. Or at least I used to! I see many sleepless nights in my future and even more zombies in my game-crazed dreams!

See? It wasn't me, it WAS the controller. Now if I could just go back to the 80's and let that snot-nosed little kid who used to beat me at Donkey Kong all the time know I am a force to be reckoned with, all would be right with the universe! Where is Marty McFly with his Delorian so I can take my Wii back there and beat the pants off that kid (and scare him with a few zombies, to boot!) Yay Wii, and even bigger yay Resident Evil 4.

Fun for the whole family

Post Via amazon in Wii Games Review

Mario Party 8
Me, my seven year old son, my husband and my grandmother all have a blast playing this game together!! This has replaced our weekly game board night. The mini games are great. The controls are awesome. There are games that are simple enough for granny and my son yet challenging to me and my husband. My only small complaint is that there could be more mini games available. However we have only played in the party tent.
Young or old, extreme gamer or casual player, awesome game.

Great Product...

Wii Wireless Sensor Bar
I was hesitant to buy this wireless Wii Sensor, but now that I own one I am really happy with it. I have an unconventional home theater set up in my living room -I primarily play wii on an Infocus digital projector - so the original sensor bar with the long cord that had to connect to the wii console itself was very burdensome and in the way. I was skeptical buying a wireless sensor bar at first because I didn't know how well it would work, but after using it I wouldn't use anything else. This wireless sensor has a bigger range then the original that the wii came with, so you can actually stand farther from the screen and still exhibit excellent control of the wiimote. I haven't had a problem with it at all, I actually think this sensor lets you have more precise control then the original, but that might just be me.
