Smarty Pants: Trivia for Everyone
I have to preface this review by saying it may have been different had we not purchased Buzz for PS2 and Smarty Pants at the same time. I LOVE Buzz so much it's tainted my view of Smarty Pants. It's a fun game, but not as good as Buzz. I think I'll enjoy it more when we add more Wiimotes so all players can have one. Some of the questions are more difficult than I would have expected. It's def still a fun party game!

Smarty Pants: Trivia for Everyone
We brought Smarty Pants to Christmas dinner, and the wii generation was playing this game. The elders and non-gamers could see and hear the game from the side and started to pay attention and join in. Soon thereafter, our parents were playing a round themselves! While competitive, the entire family started to help all four players, making for great memories and laughs. It is an easy platform for fun and icebreakers at parties. The game is most fun if there is a group of people. I could not imagine it being fun with just two people.
The drawback to the game is that we did see some recycled questions within the two games played. And in some instances, the questions didn't make sense though age appropriate. However, everyone started jumping in to eliminate the wrong answers. Now who's got the quickest thumb to buzz? A bunch of laughs within itself.

Smarty Pants: Trivia for Everyone
I bought this game hoping it would be fun for when other couples come over to play, and I was right. This game is loads of fun. HUGE replay value for parties/company and other mulit-player opportunities, as there are some 20,000 questions. I have yet to get a repeated question! I also love the fact that the questions are catered to the age of the audience. I recently played with a group ranging from 16 years old to 28 years old, and we were all engaged and able to have a good time! I LOVE the mini games, and also the fact that you actually have to raise your hand to buzz in is CRAZY fun! Playing in WAGER mode (where everyone has to shoot targets to determine the value of questions) is lots of fun, especially when you end up tackling someone who keeps making the points too low because they are winning and dont want you to catch up!!! LOL... good times. The fact that players can nudge the wheel after it has stopped was surprisingly fun as well. Be sure to pick this one up! You wont regret it.

Smarty Pants: Trivia for Everyone
We absolutely love playing this game! Family game night has become a Smarty Pants night...the board games are growing dust.
This is a very fun game because each player enters their age so I can play with my all of my kids at one time and no one has an advantage. Not to mention the kids love the silly things you have to do like tug of war and spinning of the wheel
I would recommend this to anyone...its also quite a bit of fun with friends over and a few glass of wine :)
If you own a Wii you should pick this one up!

Smarty Pants: Trivia for Everyone
The game list for $49.99, but has been on sale for $39.99 and now is $29.99.
At $30 this game is a steal if you enjoying having people over who like trivia. The game plays similar to restaurant/sports bar on screen trivia games. The family mode is ok, but I would not buy the game if your kids are younger than 12. In conclusion, the game is for those who like trivia and want to play with friends. If you don't already like trivia you will not enjoy the game.

Smarty Pants: Trivia for Everyone
What is really neat about this is that it is AGE oriented meaning that questions correspond with a person's age. That said, being that I don't know a lot about a lot of subjects and am more specialized for lack of a better word, I got a lot of wrong answers. No matter, I went back and lied about my age (told it I was 20 when I'm really 40) and it was a little better.
The entire family played this togehter and we had a lot of laughs! Having to dance or wave to get more time is ingenious! Here you go - play a trivia game for the Wii but you STILL HAVE TO KEEP MOVING! Thus you can get your exercise while playing. And we all laughed at each other and our silly dance moves.
Something else that was nice - at the end, it seems that everyone gets an award - even if you miss every question (as I did while still playing as a 40 year old). I often got the fastest answer award; my youngest got the award for getting three out of four correct in a given category, et cetera. So you can keep your spirits up and not feel bad. Besides that, we all helped each other. My husband and dad shouted out answers to the sports questions - I gave answers on science and we all were amazed at what we didn't know about fashion!
Fun - but it IS Trivia! I think it's best with a crowd.

Mercury Meltdown: Revolution
For the budget price you get a very deep and responsive puzzle game. The graphics may not be PS3 worthy, but you still get more than you need. The Wii motion controls are spot on and the puzzles are challenging, yet forgiving. If you are a fan of puzzle games, marble madness, or even just curious, go ahead and pick this up. You won't be disappointed.

Petz Dogz 2
I don't know what this game is like on other consoles, and I don't know whether there would eventually be a payoff in pleasure if you invested enough hours in skill-building, but after an hour of what felt like hard work, my wife and I are ready to dump this thing.
To begin with, the game is full of what I can only call bugs. Not crashes, but frustrating and poorly designed UI elements.
For example, when your character gets close to another dog, a screen prompt tells you to talk to that character by pressing controller button A. When you do, you get a linear, preprogrammed, slow exchange of dialog in the form of talk balloons. You have no option except to press button A repeatedly. So far, so good, but when the dialog is complete, you are still in the vicinity of the other dog... and the game again prompts you to talk to the character by pressing button A. If you do so, you are subjected to the identical dialog... with no apparent means of escape... slow talk balloon after slow talk balloon. And when you are finished, it prompts you again.
The game begins with a seemingly endless video preview, with nothing to tell you that you can stop it and begin the game by pressing button A.
The game begins with a very lengthy indigestible bolus of exposition about a magic hat, presented one slow line of text at a time. Your character then accompanies a companion to a police station, where you are subjected to another lengthy chunk of exposition about an evil wolf named Ivlet. At that point, just when you are anxious to begin discovering things about the hat and the wolf, your companion says Well, let's go back and see Ivlet tonight. For now, let's just go play around Dolphin Point. Meaning: you are diverted from the main thread of the plot and forced to spend number episode in what seem to be training exercises.
Each of them sets you a task, and you have relatively little in the way of options except to get your butt in gear and go off and do what you are told. Even here, things are frustrating. You are told, for example, that you can fish off a pier. In fact, there are several piers on Dolphin Point, but it is not explained that you can only fish off one of them. If you go to the wrong one you can spend a lot of time pressing buttons and shaking controls trying to figure out how to start fishing, with no help offered. (If you go to the right one, you get an on-screen prompted telling you to press button A to start fishing).
Obviously, some of these exercises are oriented toward acquiring skills and resources that you may need later in the game. Puzzlingly, the resources the puppy is holding are invisible. You do not see the puppy carrying them. You do not even see a graphic onscreen inventory of what resources the puppy is holding. Holding and carrying things is a strictly left-brained exercise.
Opportunities to stop and save the game are few and far between, and there seems to be no way to quit except to go on playing until you get to a save opportunity. Even so, either the save mechanism is buggy or confusingly presented, as we have had trouble restarting a game from where we left off instead of starting all over from the beginning.
The puppy characters are cute, and cutely animated. They are genuine charming. They are, however, coupled with a completely discordant adventure plot reminiscent of Zork or the Scott Adams games... in an environment with beautiful 3D rendering, but extremely clumsy adventure-game implementation.

Wii Battery Kit - Colors May Vary
These are a simple must have if you already own the Nyko charge station. The charge feature is very nice and I'm very pleased with the added grip, some of the grips that you can buy for the Wii controller are very big and make the controller almost unusable.
Though it appears that the site only has the one color you can actually find these in your local electronics store in multiple colors making it that much easier to designate who's is who's. Please know that because of how the controller charges you cannot have an additional grip or skin as it will not sit correctly in the base (unless of coarse you take the additional grip off before charging.)
Additionally some of you may have already read my post for the charger itself but I would like to repost some of it here as it will help extend the life of your charger.
* * * * *
When it comes to rechargeable batteries of any type they are not meant to be left on the charger 24/7. Constant charging when the battery is at maximum charge will wear it down and make it so they can't hold a charge.
My advise is to place the controllers on the charger only when the controller is getting to the point of dying. Then place it on the charger and let it charge all the way before removing it. As soon as the light shows that it is charged take it off base.
I understand that at times you need to use more than one controller or one might be dying before the other is charged but I promise you that if you can follow these steps your battery life will last much longer.
Have fun everyone!

MLB Power Pros
A solid A+! This is the most fun I've had playing a sports video game since the old Ken Griffey Jr. game on the N64 counsel. And the best thing about it is its multiple modes make it enjoyable for all different levels of gamers. It's simpler wii sports-esqe mode makes for great out of the box playability and good fun for the more casual gamers, and makes for a decent party game. Meanwhile, the more complex season and exhibition modes provide a remarkably in depth baseball game that lets you control just about every aspect of a team you could imagine. The detail they put into these modes is amazing. Don't be fooled by the kiddie graphics, this is a true baseball game that any fan of the sport will enjoy. And if that's not enough, they throw the delightfully quirky success mode, which allows you to control the fate of a college player. This mode is good fun and is far more addictive than one would expect. Over all it's a great game and I would recommend it to any baseball fan.
