I was addicted to this game

Post Via amazon in Wii Games Review

Resident Evil 4
Ok so you'll get through the first few chapters of the game and just when you think the game is over, the chapters get longer and harder and more save points and its just AWESOME!!!! then beat the game you unlock the unlimitedammo gun which just takes the game to a WHOLE new level. I loved this game. AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!!! It is so much fun because even if you die you don't have to start at the beginning ... you can continue almost from wherever scene you are in and retry again ... so much less frustrating than having to start over wherever you last saved. get this game!!!

how to craft a horror/survival title

Post Via amazon in Wii Games Review

Resident Evil 4
Without a doubt the finest survival game to grace any console ever RE4 for the GCN and later PS2 took the series to a new level. The controls which were decent for the old versions have been revamped to take advantage of the WiiMote and the nunchuck attachment. Together (as the control stick controls your view, while the WiiMote controls your aim)they feel like a sort of Dual Stick set up except more intuitive and easier to use than the traditional Cstick method. There is a little weirdness as I somtimes do a 180 on accident while holding the RUN button (Z) too often, but reloading is actually fun with this setup. I am finding the game alot more fun and satisfying with the Wii controls all the great moments are still there (including the new Ada W. missions:) I just have more health and ammo with which to enjoy them. This game is a loveletter to gamers especially fans of the horror-survival genre, and to miss out on this version is to deprive your Wii of the best title yet available. A trigger (or knife) happy splatter fest, RE4 puts you in the middle of the action, and as nasty as it is its a hard place to leave. MUST OWN thanks for the low retail CAPOCOM (you knew we'd buy it twice)

Great old school fun

Super Paper Mario
Super Paper Mario is a truly great game. Finding a way to combine classic Mario platforming with some RPG elements is no easy task, but Nintendo pulled it off flawlessly. You can swap out your characters or your 'pixels' to use various abilities or use one of many items to defeat your enemies. The swapping to the 3rd dimension just adds that much more to the gameplay as often you wont be able to advance without doing so. The story is a little odd but provides some humor here and there. Although the game can be completed in about 20 - 25 hours, there's still plenty to do afterwards.

Classic Nintendo

Post Via amazon in Wii Games Review

Super Paper Mario
Ever since I first played Mario on the original NES he has held a special place in my heart. My love for him led me to buy a Nintendo 64 instead of a Play Station, and when the Wii came out I felt that it was time to once again chase the little fella.
Super paper Mario, while an RPG still holds many of the aspects I have always loved about Mario games, and ups the anti with an enjoyable storyline and inventive game play. What most impressed me however, was that this game achieved what I, for the past 8 years failed to achieve, it got my wife hooked on video games. For that alone it deserves a 5 star rating.

Inventive, engrossing, beautiful, and fun!

Super Paper Mario
This is one of the best games I've played in recent history. It's such a wonderful game that my wife became so engrossed in it that she didn't let me play it unless she was sitting by my side to enjoy the inventive gameplay and story. The mechanic of flipping from 2-D to 3-D allowed the developers to put such clever gameplay puzzles in the game that every few minutes, we would be oohing and ahhing and giggling at its brilliance. And the story is very well-executed, very funny, and even touching. Controls are handled very well and are very pleasurable with the Wii Remote. This is one of the definitely must-have titles for the Wii, and really reminded me of why I love gaming to begin with.

Mario keeps on getting better!

Post Via amazon in Wii Games Review

Mario Party 8
Besides the Wii being the best gaming system currently on the market [along with being the most affordable], Nintendo really continues to shine with it's most recent Mario Party installment. Mario Party 8 continues to delight players with challenging mini games, group fun, and sensational creativity. Mario Party 8 for the Wii has 6 different boards to play -- each one with it's own music, showcased characters and themes. It's like getting more than one game!

Fun for the whole family, Mario Party 8 challenges gamers and intellectuals alike. I highly recommended it for families with a large age range. Our 6&8-year old love to play it with us and our adult friends.

Great for Kids..........

Post Via amazon in Wii Games Review

Mario Party 8
My 4 year old LOVES this game! My 3 year old LOVES this game (although he's more of a spectator at this point). Since we have gotten this game we have had to put a time limit on the gaming. They would play all day if we let them. I think the best thing about Mario Party 8 is that it's got so many different things, that it doesn't get old or boring.

It would have been great if they could have made it a little more active, the best part about the Wii is that most of the games require you to actually get up and move, not just sit like a lump playing video games. But all in all, it's a great game and I would recomend it to anyone. We all play together and the kids just think it's the coolest game ever!

Wii Classic Controller
The classic controller is a very nice touch to the Wii system. Its very clean looking and is almost wireless by plugging it to the Wiimote. The only flaw is the price. For 20 bucks the price of one controller you could get 3 and sometimes 4 Gamecube controllers that work just as well.

All and all its very nice and easy to use!

A must for DK

Post Via amazon in Wii Accessories Review

Wii Classic Controller
I bought this controller after downloading Donkey Kong Country on Virtual Console and trying to play it with my wireless Gamecube controller. The controlls were so awkward on the GC controller that I had trouble making it through the very first level. When I got this controller and played it felt just like it did on the SNES and the controlls were natural and easy.

I also like the fact that you can use either the joystick or the pad to move, and it is easier to use the joystick to browse the menu than pointing the Wiimote at the screen and having to hold your arm out. It also feels more natural than using the Wiimote for games such as Sonic. I don't have many games downloaded on Virtual Console, but I found it absolutely necessary for DK.

Necessity.

Post Via amazon in Wii Accessories Review

Wii Classic Controller
if you plan on getting these games for Virtual Console you NEED a Classic Controller. It's just not the same with a Cube Controller. I mean I love my wavebird, but the Classic is sooooo much more Responsive!

Following Games that I couldn't play right with out my Classic controller:
* Zelda LttP
* Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2
* Super Metroid (although this one isn't as bad because you can map the controls however you want, so the wavebird is pretty good.)
* MarioKart64 (surprisingly I find it a much more enjoyable experience on the classic than on the wavebird and playing this game with both really shows the major sensitivity difference i mentioned above.)
